Stories I Would Like To See.

Stories I Would Like To See as Movies (Live or Animated) Or Read as Books

(updated [y-m-d] 2018-10-13)

1)

Possible Ingredients:
Institution (Museum, University, maybe even private collection).
Junior Grade Curator of some variety – maybe male/female with failed martial arts experience or with relatives with experience.
Hand operated weapon Expo (NO GUNS).

While checking over some bladed weapons from different sources, the curator notices markings on some of the blades.  Takes photos for use of expo staff to assist in display arrangements.  Also takes extras for their own use.  When blow-ups of the markings are mixed and matched, possible designs are apparent.  Markings appear to be part of a hieroglyphic style design and the weapon pattern appears to be random, but may not be.  There is one major problem.  All the markings are on martial arts weapons from different countries and different eras and should have no connection with each other.

Any one care to write an opening paragraph or chapter, post it, and see if any one wants to take it further.

Alternatively, I claim copyright to the idea and one point five percent of any gross profits from any story, in any medium: book or film, based on this idea goes to a recognized charity.

Multiple Suspects

Crime of some sort - investigation involves samples at scene which require DNA samples being taken from up to fifteen persons of interest.  (Some samples are useful for elimination)

SCENE:          People collection point of some kind: open air market; bazaar; shopping centre or complex; various winners of some sort of competition; first time get-together of a group of some sort (students; team - sport; study; charity event (Walk Against Want; Solar Car Challenge; Beat the Steam Train)).

Alternate SCENE:      DNA technician notices samples from different sources and taken for different reasons appear to match.  Checks.

Maybe a combination of scene and alternate.

PROBLEM:    Seven of the personal samples appear to have been taken from the same person.  There is no discernable connection between the seven.  All have never knowingly met before and all have no connection in the reasons for being in the area.  Five are adults and the other two are a five-year-old girl, and a six-year-old boy.
